Tale of the Unfocused

Hey Bloggies!

Did I mention I'm not liking this semester? Huh? Na, seriously, it's not the classes...it's me. I have the discipline of a wild boar. I swear. I need to try much harder to work on my homework consistently and focus!! It takes a lot of reading and writing in this class to get a good grade. I can read, and I can write...but I don't like too much of either! I prefer to talk, chat, eat, and sing! Ah, such is life.

I missed an assignment this week. I'm really bummed about that. I had a lot of the research done but my instructor is rather strict in the fact that if you do not have it in at 9:00am on Thursday Morning that week, it will not be accepted...period.

So, I procrastinated and Beth had her surgery on Thursday...therefore, I missed my classes. Needless to say I didn't finish my assignment/paper and definately didn't make the deadline. So, what I'm thinking is to finish it up this weekend and send it off to her anyway just to show her that I'm doing my work and intend on continuing on in the class. Sound good? She'll probably toss it, but oh well.

My daughter had her surgery yesterday, bless her heart. She is a trooper! Her little mouth hurts, and her cheeks are swollen, and she has various "boo boos". I try to kiss them all when she talks about them. I also have set up a coming home/get well party for her with a Care Bear theme. I really think she is going to like it. We told her we were going to do it and she can't wait! I think it helps to lift her spirits.

So, as soon as I'm done writing this blog, I'm leaving school, and off to home where I pick up Nana, pick up brother at school, deposit my check, pick up medicine, get gas in the van, wash the van, then drive 1.5hours to pick up the little darling and my husband from the hospital. You see, I had to go to school this morning so he stayed with her overnight and I'm so thankful!
I will write more later when I have more time!
